Dr Hai Gong is working in the Blackett Laboratory, at the Physics Department of Imperial College London as a research associate. From 2018 to 2019, he worked as a research associate at the Flexible Optical B.V in the Netherlands. He finished his doctoral study on optics field sampling at the Delft University of Technology at 2019. Before that, he has gained his master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in the Xi’an Jiaotong University and the Harbin Institute of Technology respectively. He is now working on building a high-throughput super-resolution microscope in a microfluidic chip smaller than a coin capable of providing high-resolution imaging of hundreds of cells at the diffraction limit and beyond, with minimal photo-toxicity. He also has many years of experiences in interferometry, phase imaging, wavefront sensing, adaptive optics and light-sheet microscopy.
