Dongpeng Kang received his BSc and MSc in physics at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in 2006 and 2008 respectively, and PHD in electrical and computer engineering at the University of Toronto in 2015. After working briefly in Canada’s industry, he joined the School of Astronautics at HIT and is currently an associate professor. His research interests include nonlinear and quantum photonics, optic communications. He developed a few techniques to generate quantum states of photons from semiconductor chips, and led/participated in several engineering projects in satellite laser communications.
